A Plea for Help to All Loving Souls: End this War on Your Own People!

I am writing this love letter as a plea for Help and support in a fight against unjust laws that are assaulting me right now. Millions of Americans like me are being unfairly politically and religiously persecuted by failed, wasteful and counterproductive Drug War policy. Millions of people like me experience a very clear violation of our First Amendment right to Freedom of Religion.

I am a sincere believer in a beautiful, loving eternal God that lives and breathes within the hearts of every man, woman and child on the planet, and it is specifically this religion that is under attack. Due to careful study of the history of violent, hateful, fearful and greed-filled religion, I became an intensely atheistic youth. However, at the age of 23 when I ingested sacramental psilocybin mushrooms, my whole worldview was eternally altered for the better, and I became a firm believer in a Divine Consciousness that pervades every atom of the Universe. Original American citizens, specifically the Aztecs, called these entheogens “Teonactl” or the “Food of the Gods,” and ingestion was a central, widespread religious practice in original American religion.

Psychedelic sacramental utilization can be traced to religions of numerous nations of people from South America, North America, Europe, Asia and Africa, and sacramental use has even been documented in a book as old as the Bible. The ancient Rig Veda says, “We have drunk Soma and become immortal; we have attained the light, the Gods discovered. Now what may foeman's malice do to harm us? What, O Immortal, mortal man's deception?”

World renowned writer and intellectual Aldous Huxley wrote in his epic novel Island that sacramental mushrooms should not be given negative names like “drug” or “dope.” He wrote: "Dope...Muragan was telling me about the fungi that are used here as a source of dope." "What's in a name?...Answer, practically everything. Muragen calls it dope and feels about it all the disapproval that, by conditioned reflex, the dirty word evokes. We on the contrary, give the stuff good names-the Moksha Medicine, the Reality Revealer, the Truth-and-Beauty Pill. And know, by direct experience, that the good names are deserved."

Huxley also wrote in another work: “I have taken [psychedelics] six times now and have been taken beyond the realm of vision to the realm of what the mystics call "obscure knowledge"- insight into the nature of things accompanied by the realization that, in spite of pain and tragedy, the universe is all right, in other words God is Love. The words are embarrassingly silly and, on the level of average consciousness, untrue. But when we are on the higher level, they are seen to stand for the primordial Fact, of which consciousness is now a part.”

After having an intense religious psychedelic experience, I became a devout believer in the Great Loving Spirit. I felt divinely interconnected and in Love with All people, animals, plants and the entire living, breathing Universe that is God. This is not at all a unique subjective experience.

Not only do many religious and tribal histories corroborate my experience, but a recent John Hopkins University medical study found that these mushrooms had a long-lasting, positive psychological and spiritual benefit for people. Psychedelic substances have also been shown to help with addiction to other more dangerous drugs like alcohol, and have been shown to help cure post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A Harbor-UCLA Medical Center study is also currently investigating if mushrooms ease anxiety of terminally ill cancer patients.

UCLA psychiatrist Charles Grob says all the cancer patients in the study have shown promising reactions to the substance. Grob finds that “these compounds have tremendous potential to facilitate healing, especially in areas that do not respond well to conventional treatments…There is global healing in these compounds which have been used for millennia by indigenous people that have much to teach modern man and modern woman."

This powerful medical science research indicates very clearly that psychedelics do not fit the drug definitions outlined in the Controlled Substances Act itself. The CSA lists Schedule 1 drugs as having "no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States...and it is further undisputed that the drug has at least some potential for abuse." The positive psychological research evidence destroys the first part of this statutory definition, and there is also no evidence for psilocybin having "potential for abuse." The scheduling of mushrooms under this definition is completely inaccurate.

Importantly, many of the greatest scientific and technological advances in biology and computer science were also in fact facilitated by the use of psychedelic sacraments. Nobel winner Francis Crick reported that psychedelics helped him visualize the DNA structure, ultimately the second biggest biological science breakthrough in history. The third biggest biological science breakthrough was by Nobel winner Kary Mullis and he too attributes psychedelic sacraments as helping him visualize this process. Mullis discovered polymerase chain reaction, which was instrumental in the sequencing of the human genome and is extremely crucial in current medical science research involving genetics.

The CEO and founders of Apple computers Steve Jobs also said sacramental substances were one of the most important things he has ever done in his life, and helped with technological visions. Similarly, Kevin Herbert, a founding member of Cisco Systems said psychedelics help overcome the hardest technical problems by "changing something about the internal communication in my brain. Whatever my inner process is that lets me solve problems, it works differently, or maybe different parts of my brain are used…When I'm on (sacrament) and hearing something that's pure rhythm, it takes me to another world and into anther brain state where I've stopped thinking and started knowing." Herbert also moved to make sure Cisco Systems banned drug testing of all technologists at the company.

The potential of psychedelics to facilitate further technological and scientific advancement can not be overstated. These substances most certainly can help humanity survive what appears to be Impending Doom, Armageddon, The Apocalype or whatever rather realistic fearful vision one chooses. Everyone is becoming increasingly aware of the intense failings of our old sociopolitical, agricultural, energy and economic order, and rest assured it is crumbling. However, thanks to the use of psychedelics, I and others like me are inspired to redesign a new sustainable, loving political and economic order, a luminous phoenix fertilized by the ashes of dead ideas. Our vision will enable Homo sapiens to avoid what would appear to be an inevitable downward spiral into bloody savagery as the unsustainable greed-based Order collapses.

As you may know, I graduated a First Ranked scholar at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a Horticulture Science degree, and have pursued graduate degrees in plant disease genetics and political science. I also have been a longtime writer and activist for peace and justice, and a 2008 candidate for U.S. Congress, receiving almost 60,000 votes. I have been an outstanding student, an outstanding citizen and loving father to my 7-year old daughter Anna Tomlinson. I had plans to go to the U of A law school this fall.

However, on January 11th, 2010, I was arrested for providing sacramental mushrooms to a “friend.” It was always my belief that the Unconstitutional laws against my religion were unjust, so I felt that practicing my religion was a civilly disobedient defiance of the War on American People a.k.a. the “Drug War.” Furthermore, I felt that our species is facing a dire threat of civilization, economic and environmental collapse, and our species desperately needs an evolution of spiritual consciousness to save us. I felt that providing sacraments to good friends with shamanic instructions on responsible use was in fact a positive effort to save our species and planet. As I now know, one of my “friends” was not a good friend and worked with the government as an Agent of the State to invade my home without a warrant wearing a wire, which led to my arrest. This invasion and entrapment is arguably Unconstitutional.

In a divine coincidence of synchronicity, January 11th was the first day of my last semester of graduate school in political science, and I had applied for law school that morning. On that day, much of my previous life and many of my previous dreams died.

From that point on, I have been treated by the government and parts of American society as evil, disposable trash. I was bound and inhumanely thrown in a cage with hardened violent criminals and murderers. I was treated by guards like a worthless Guantanamo detainee that may as well be tortured like an animal. I faced thousands of dollars in bail fees and then lawyer fees, and face more massive court fees and fines in the future. If convicted, I could face 20 years in prison. These punishments for a victimless "crime" are also arguably violation of other Constitutional rights against disproportionate punishment and excessive economic hurdles for justice.

Interestingly, as soon as I was arrested I became guilty until proven innocent. My arrest received widespread negative media coverage where they painted me as some automatically guilty and evil drug dealer with no value to society. Despite being only charged with this nonviolent, victimless "crime," the University of Arkansas immediately sent me a letter of interim suspension and banned me from the campus unless escorted by policemen. Then they ordered me to come before a judicial board to determine whether or not to expel me. However, I would have been forced to sacrifice my Constitutional right against self-incrimination at this academic board of “justice,” so I took the advice of my lawyer and withdrew from the Graduate School with deep sorrow and regret. Later, I was also urged to withdraw my Law School application for admission as well by U of A administrators, and I again obeyed with deep remorse. If convicted I will also become permanently ineligible for academic financial aid and other government services, yet rapists and murderers remain eligible.

Since my academic career has been apparently destroyed, I have been looking for a decent job with no success. Not only are good jobs extremely hard to find in this economic downturn, but when widely painted as a worthless villain I have found it impossible. I was highly qualified for certain Horticultural jobs, but am being denied consideration because of this unjust war on American people like me. And we wonder why we have so many impoverished, hopeless homeless people? Once convicted in America, it is a life sentence of poverty and societal marginalization. The punishment and hostile retribution never ends. No forgiveness. No understanding. No freedom. No justice. No Christlike loving compassion.

This whole tragedy has also created a situation that may lead to my daughter being taken away from me. We both love eachother immensely, and our forced separation may prove to be the worst ramification of all. This Drug War is truly an assault on American families! It shreds and impoverishes families and communities all across our nation, and this is pure madness.

My life and citizenship is being dismantled inch-by-inch by this cruel and unjust body of law. Originally, I was going to take the standard fear-filled advice to just take a plea bargain and hope for years of probation or a smaller prison sentence. However, I quit believing in fear and have devoted my life to Love, and when bathed in God’s Love there is no fear.

It would be entirely selfish of me to take this injustice bent over. I must stand tall and represent the millions of poor Americans being oppressed by these unjust laws. I will not lose my dignity. I did nothing wrong. If these Unconstitutional laws place me in jail, I will do it with my head held high. Even if I lose the legal battle, the long-term political battle is far from over.

This letter is intended to explain my religious and philosophical beliefs, my legal and political arguments, and also as a plea for Help to anyone concerned. I urgently need political and moral support. I will not need any financial support because, with the help of my lawyer friends, I will be doing my own legal research, writing my own legal briefs and possibly making my own oral arguments.

End Loveless Atheist Empire

Generally and politically, We have become the most evil atheistic empire this planet has ever seen. Democracy? Justice? Liberty? Equality? Peace? Generosity? Love? Spirit? Where?

As for democracy and justice, our elections, constitution, and judicial system all have deeply embedded anti-democratic elements, and money and wealth massively corrupt all three further. As for liberty and equality, we imprison and kill liberty for a higher proportion of our population than any nation on the planet, especially for poor blacks.

As for peace and generosity, we spend trillions building war machines and bombs that ultimately kill countless innocent men, women and children of our world, but spend only a tiny crumb to ensure children of the world are healthy, educated and fed.

As for Love and Spirit, please allow elaboration.

Generally and politically, We are a people worshipping empty gods of greed, hatred, fear, violence, consumerism, materialism, and money. We are empty, spiritless, heartless, soulless, unaware, unconscious, godless animals that kill eachother and our planet for more emptiness in a cycle of darkness.

God(genderless) is Love. Love is God(genderless). Christ told us to Love our neighbors, and even our enemies, yet we fail to comprehend. Christ died for Love, and this message is all that is truly needed from the book. The worst examples of hatred, fear, violence and loveless atheism, past and present, were given authority from remaining parts of the book. If we lost the rest, perhaps it would be best.

The Law of Love is inherently inscribed on all of our hearts. All we have to do is silently listen to our conscience, or God(genderless). The highest purpose in life is to walk on a path toward enlightenment, higher consciousness, higher awareness, and becoming one with God(genderless), yet to begin this path is simple.

We must simply learn to Love and be Loved. We must give Love to eachother, nature and the God(genderless) that is Love, and likewise receive Love and God(genderless) in turn. To become one with God(without gender), we must become one with Love because where Love is, there God(genderless) is.

Currently, America leads the world in the false religions of loveless materialism and greedy consumerism. This disease causes us to propagate massive human hatred and violence toward eachother and our precious blue planet.

Time is running out for our species. Our empty false religions are destroying and polluting our global atmosphere, soils, waters, rainforests, coral reefs, fishing stocks, and our precious children.

With all my heart and soul, I believe that the true religion of Love is all that can save us. The question becomes will we learn Love in time to mitigate or prevent societal collapse from environmental hatred, and begin the long process of healing? I have a child, so I have to believe the answer is yes.

After the Fall

Many conscious humans know it is merely a matter of time before the American imperium collapses. We are witnessing preliminary signs of the fall as the corporate greed mantra of “profits over people and planet” has proven a tapeworm that has devoured our economy, democracy and culture from within.

Once upon a time, America had a substantive diversity of culture, but as Chris Hedges wrote recently, this culture was “systematically destroyed by 20th century corporations.” With the rise of the war-banking complex, the medical-insurance-pharmaceutical-junk food complex, the fossil fuel complex, and plethora of other hyper-powerful corporate institutions in our plutocratic system, Corporate Culture was birthed.

Corporate Culture automatically became dominant as the corporate media complex facilitated the displacement of regional cultural and intellectual heterogeneity with a homogenized, monopolized world view. Corrupt politicians and media tyrants intentionally propagated a fearful, complacent, consuming, conformist public willing to swallow quasi-democracy, military colonialism, massive economic inequality, environmental rapedom, and a corrupt healthcare system.

Over the past eight years, we witnessed the full embodiment of Corporate Culture. Since World War II, the permanent war economy has been unsustainably growing, but Dubya perfected this disaster with a multitrillion dollar war of aggression for Israel and arms, banking, and oil corporations.

Likewise, the corporate greed “philosophy” was quintessentially exemplified by Dubya on domestic policy as well. Essentially every policy was geared to primarily benefit the wealthiest one percent, including massive tax cuts for the superrich and handouts for every Big Business interest.

While traveling to Washington D.C. recently as a finalist for a Scoville Peace Fellowship, I was asked what brought me to the fellowship, and I unequivocally replied: George W. Bush. Prior to Dubya, I cared nothing for politics or religion. However, when his administration began selling a rushed war of choice to America, I could smell the 935 lies immediately, and began a crusade for truth and gnosis.

Just as Christ offered a perfect example of how humans should act, Bush offered an enlightening counterexample of how not to act. In the philosophical concept known as the dialectic process, there is a thesis position, followed by an antithesis, which ultimately leads to synthesis or a highest stage of truth. In this case, Christ offered the Law of Love as a thesis, and Bush offered the antithesis of hate, greed and fear.

As a human living after both these great teachers, I am fortunate to possess the capacity to comprehend the divine truth of their synthesis. From Bush, I learned exactly how fear, greed and hate function in our government and society, and by contrasting Christ, I understood the American deficiency of love, making Bush my greatest living teacher.

To apply the Christ-Bush synthesis, we must return to the fall of Babylon. We know the environmental systems that function as the most fundamental basis of a real, sustainable economic system are collapsing. Globally, rainforests, coral reefs, fishing stocks, arable soil and potable water are all in the process of destruction, pollution or depletion while human population continues exploding. Climate change resulting from Corporate Culture threatens to make large regions of our planet uninhabitable and agriculturally unproductive, forcing massive migration and vastly increased probabilities of resource wars.

In terms of the fake economy, most signs indicate collapse as well. After America outsourced our manufacturing industries and jobs overseas, primarily to dictatorships with violently suppressed labor power and environmental protections, we have increasingly become a fictitious economy. It seems now that we manufacture and export only arms, debt and death. Additionally, the Wall Street banksters have invented trillions of dollars in exotic “financial products”, such as derivatives, which offer nothing in terms of real wealth creation and serve only to further enrich and empower the economic elite.

This enormous house of cards appears to be falling with a titanic crash in Yekaterinburg, Russia. In Yekaterinburg, the six-nation Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) recently met to begin the displacement of the American dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Interestingly, America asked to attend, but was rejected. Russia and China, leaders of the SCO, want to end U.S. policy of endlessly printing money to fund our $1 trillion military budget, which is used to dangerously encircle them.

China is especially concerned considering they own over $1 trillion in U.S. debt and do not want this investment to become worthless with inevitable inflation. In a recent trip to Peking University, Treasury Secretary tried tell an audience that America had a “strong dollar” and China’s debt investment was safe, but was mocked with laughter.

Paul Craig Roberts, former Assistant Treasury Secretary under Reagan, finds these issues problematic as well, saying, “America’s economic troubles will rapidly accumulate if the dollar loses its reserve currency role. To protect the dollar…the U.S. needs to curtail…borrowing by…halting its gratuitous wars and slashing its unnecessary military spending, which exceeds that of the rest of the world combined…Cutting the budget deficit by halting…unnecessary military spending and reducing trade deficits by bringing jobs back to America are simple tasks compared to confronting inflationary depression.”

If China and the SCO continue losing faith in American leadership, and the dollar loses reserve currency status, the predicted impacts are dire. It is anticipated the inflated dollar will devalue drastically, the price of imports, including oil, will skyrocket, services will be slashed, and we will face an unemployment tsunami, among other nightmares.

Regardless of official reserve status, flight from the dollar is already underway. Trade deals have already been negotiated by SCO members to denominate trade in currency other than the dollar. China is also trying to unload their U.S. dollars by using them to buy businesses and natural resources globally. As professor Michael Hudson writes, China “realizes these dollars are going to be worthless pretty quickly.”

As expected, these fantasy-shattering developments are barely covered by the infotainment, corporate media monopoly. As Rome burns, America babbles about Michael Jackson, burns $1 billion in toxic Chinese fireworks, and prepares to waste many billions more on mountains of toxic Chinese plastic for the next reality-distracting holiday.

After the empire dies, there will be an enormous power vacuum, and either a redesigned cohesive state will replace it, or civilization will disintegrate into small tribes of people forced back to survival focus, some as small farmers, hunter gatherers or marauding pillagers. Should the latter scenario occur, numerous regional dictators are a probable outcome.

Should a cohesive state replace the old empire, it will likely take one of two forms. America will either swing further rightward toward fascism, guided by corporations and demons like Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and rightwing televangelists. On the other more hopeful, heavenly hand, America could become Christlike and establish a New Kingdom.

Emerson once said, “the power of love, as the basis of a State, has never been tried.” The greatest changes in American history have always occurred during great crisis, and perhaps with crisis of fallen empire, the opportunity to redesign America as a State guided by Love could become a reality.

Law, justice and politics are all functions of morality, and morality is answered most confidently by love. The American maxim would become: “Love is the Whole of the Law.” Realizing this colossal feat will require a revolution of consciousness. America, the supposed “Christian Nation,” could no longer mouth meaningless words like “I am Christian, read the bible, and go to church,” but must instead act Christlike in humble, loving service.

The loving spirit of Christ was never killed or crucified, only his body, and the Second Coming is merely a collective cultural choice.

It must be made immediately clear, that this group is in no way against the Jewish religion, but we stand strongly against deadly Israeli-American policies relating to Palestine. Moreover, it is a clear fact that a great many Jews strongly support peace and likewise oppose the right-wing Israeli policies entailing the cruel Palestinian occupation and the recent assault on Gaza.

It should also be noted that all indiscriminate bombings of civilians by ANY organization must be strongly condemned regardless of whether it is Hamas or the Israel government, and one side should never be immune from criticism. This is the ONLY consistent position, and the most constructive path toward an honest Peace Policy.

Our government is nearly unanimous in support of right-wing Israeli interests at the expense of American and global interests. This unjust and skewed policy can be witnessed by 99% of the U.S. government recently providing full-throated endorsement of Israeli aggression in Gaza where hundreds of civilians were indiscriminately bombed. Moreover, our government is essentially silent on the atrocious occupation of the Palestinian territories, which entails almost 300,000 Israelis living in hundreds of illegal apartheid "Jews Only" colonial settlements with a vast network of "Jews Only" roads within the West Bank.

There is clear evidence that War Crimes were being committed by Israel and our government was telling the Arab world that we completely supported this. Independence for the United States from this control would not only ameliorate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but it would also end terrorism. This is a group for a long-term global movement advocating an Evolved Global Democratic System ensuring social justice and environmental sanity in the interest of the vast majority and for bare survival of our species and our planet. Declaration of Interdependence for The United States* of Earth:

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for the People to alter, augment or dissolve harmful governments and to assume the rightful institutions that the Laws of Nature and Nature's Divine Source entitle them, the common sense of Humankind requires that they should declare the causes which force alteration, augmentation or separation through Peaceful Revolution and to state the Righteous Demands for Superior Governments.

We hold these Truths to be Self-Evident, that all People are created Equal, that they are endowed by their Divine Source with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, Equality, Education, Healthcare, a Healthy Environment, and the pursuit of Happiness, Peace, and Justice. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among The People, deriving their just powers from the consent of The People, — That whenever any Form of Government or Global System of Political Order becomes destructive of these Rights, it is the Right of the People to establish a new Government that protects all People and the Rights they deserve and hold dear.

Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and all experience has shown that humankind will continue sufferinging, while evils are bearable than to confront the cause of suffering by altering, augmenting or abolishing the corrupt institutions that cause the suffering.
